FAQs

Q: Do I need to get special permission from the hospital for you to be in the room?
Yes, you should check with your doctor and the hospital to make sure that they are aware of and comfortable with my being there. Every hospital has different policies, usually they just need to be aware that you want a photographer present during your birth.

Q: I am scheduled to have a C – Section, does this cause a problem?
No, this is not a problem. I will be in the Mother’s room before and after the operation. During the procedure I will photograph family members waiting, and anything else I see that pertains to your story.

Q: Do you photograph births happening in a non traditional environment?
Absolutely! I am available to work with you and your birth plan.

Q: What if something happens during the delivery?
I will excuse myself discreetly, and settle into the waiting room unless prior plans are made.

Q: What happens if you can’t make it to the delivery?
That depends on the situation, if you go into labor and deliver the baby so fast that I was not present during the delivery, I will still focus on the moment at hand. If I have a personal crisis that prevents me from attending, then your money will be refunded.

Q: What if I go into labor early in the morning?
I am on call for you 24/7 no matter what time you go into labor. As soon as you notify me that you are leaving, I will ready myself, make sure my family is taken care of for the next 24-36 hours and be on my way.

Q: Will my pictures be on your website?
The only photographs that will appear on my website are those with written permission from the families.
